Q: Oracle 9i installation problem on SLES 8

Hi,

I have successfully installed so many times Oracle 9i on SLES8. But
today I am trying to install on a HCL Infinity PC, where SLES8 is not
detecting the network card. I have proceeded on installing Oracle 9i.
But I found errors as follows:

"Error in invoking target ntcontab.o of makefile
/opt/oracle/prod/9ir2/network/lib/ins_net_client.mk"

I have ignored these errors. Finally I able to install Oracle 9i. But
when I am trying to connect any user , it is showing me "ORA-01031 (See ORA-01031.ora-code.com) -
Insufficient Privielges".

Is there any problem, if the netwrk card is undetected during
installation of oracle?

An early reply is highly appreciated.
